We should live in such a way as to cause the least amount of pain and suffering to living beings according to human conduct of Ahimsa. Therefore, we first refrain for killing animals for food, because of their sensitivity to pain and suffering. The same is true for plants, only to a lesser degree. Therefore, humanity will move in the directions of reducing the pain and suffering caused to plants. For example, the torture of house plants and vegetarianism aimed at the least hurtful forms of diet. Neohumanism.

Oct 18, 2010 - so if you cant eat plants.....or animals.....whats left? I KNOW... I KNOW DIRT!!!!!

50MillionMissing Says:

Oct 18, 2010 - jacques - dirt? Actually, a time will come when humans eat a food not know to us now. In the distant future we will learn to live in a healthy body without harming plants or animals. Science will develope the food we need. The point of this video is to remind vegeterians that they have not reached the end of morality in terms of Ahimsa and food.

MondoCruz Says:

Nov 20, 2010 - @lace0mafia lmfao! id pay to see that XD

XXGDUBSXX Says:

Dec 3, 2010 - "Science will develope the food we need." What do you mean by "science" in that sentence. You mean to go against nature and put our faith in an invention? Scientific progress is reason people have these high density meat farms.

XXGDUBSXX Says:

Dec 3, 2010 - That seems as illogical to me as saying. "Science will solve disiese" or "science wil make us better"

Bennie98 Says:

Dec 9, 2010 - OMG what the fuck is wrong with you.... We can't eat plants and can't eat animals...are you fucking stupid.... ?How do you think animals and people have survived for all these millions of years...? By eating nothing? goddamn.... or you don't eat and die...(i hope you will because you are so boring and ignorant) or you eat and be normal... as normal as nature... nature is... God isn't... don't be ignorant... and if there was a god... he put plants and animals here for a reason

TheSnakeSalmon Says:

Dec 27, 2010 - its also the reason why you could possibly be a vegetarian and live

XXGDUBSXX Says:

Dec 27, 2010 - I dont understand what you mean by that.

TheSnakeSalmon Says:

Dec 27, 2010 - if you dont understand, consult the angry clam >:()

XXGDUBSXX Says:

Dec 27, 2010 - Your not right friend ,goodbye

TheSnakeSalmon Says:

Dec 28, 2010 - bye!

Feb 6, 2011 - I think there is some truth in what you say, but some plants need animals to spread their seed, ie. hummingbird and flowers, burs sticking to mammal fur. It seems to me that the plant has realized patience. If one plant dies, it does not matter because it's species will continue on. So perhaps we should only eat parts of plants that encourage their continuation. And perhaps we should more properly excrete the byproducts of their energy (our poop). We were at one time in agreement. We must return

Mar 9, 2011 - People who eat meat are automatically obese kids? I walked on the grass today. You going to prosecute me?

pewtoobe Says:

May 31, 2011 - If you really believe all this, then why aren't all vegans/animal lefts activist vehemently Anti-Abortion? If you believe humans are animals, and you know animals kill other animals for food, then Humans can kill other animals for food, otherwise you should be preaching veganism to predators in the wild! Many Vegetarians, especially Vegans always seem to be very unhealthy, underweight, weak, and have crazy minds and politics probably because of nutritional deficiencies.

50MillionMissing Says:

May 31, 2011 - Yes, vegeterians should be anti-abortion, because the soul enters the body at the time of sperm/egg union - therefore it is fully human. Yes the majority of vegeterians are politically to the left and as such accept the pro-abortion dogma based on woman's rights movement. this is a moral error. The right is even more immoral, because they want to defend the fetus, but not the born humans as is evidence of greed based dogma of republician party. Reason I made this video: expand mind of vegs.

StevenBee2 Says:

Jun 3, 2011 - This guy doesn't speak for all vegetarians. I am vegetarian, and I am, essentially, pro-abortion. Not because I've fallen for the "pro-abortion dogma based on the woman's rights movement", but because of my own reasons. I am an individual. You would be well served not to stereotype people based on one or two aspects of their lives.

50MillionMissing Says:

Jun 3, 2011 - Stevenbee, yes I do not speak for all vegies. I assume you avoid meat for reasons other than Ahimas (trying to avoid harming other living things). General speaking, abortion is a violation of this standard of human conduct, however sometimes there are medical or social reasons for abortion. I cant think of any social reasons at the moment. Thanks for your comment.

DeMause Says:

Nov 5, 2011 - so whos going to feed all those cows/cheickens/etc if everyone goes vegan? Farmers aren't going to shell out for it if noone buys the meat.Farm anaimals have been bread to be completely dependant on humans so they won't be able to feed themselves.Ironic that you used the image of a starving cow in your slideshow since that is the fate that awaits all farm animals, followed by extinction if humanity turned vegetarian.Personally I draw the line at sapience, not sentience.

DeMause Says:

Nov 5, 2011 - (stupid character limit)Because of this I don't eat octopus(widely considered the second most intellegent animal on earth, after humans) and wouldn't eat dolphin/whale/chimp.Cows hoever are not self-aware beyond gettig more food and as such I don't feel bad about eating the type of food my body has evolved to require. Humans are omnivores, that means a healthy diet is meat AND vegetables, not one or the other.

DeMause Says:

Nov 5, 2011 - That could be the case.More likely they are vegetarian/vegan becuase they are bonkers in the first place.
